Over 300 complaints on the lint catcher being defective. LG admits the lint catcher is defective and redesigns it. The old lint catcher now sells for $20 the Newly redesigned one costs over $50 with tax and shipping. A part that should have been recalled cost us $50

The new filter did not fit my Dryer. Model #DLEX4200B. The filter sticks up and does NOT go down all the way.

My reason for buying this filter was because my clothes started catching on the right hand side of the existing filter since it no longer sits flush with the edge of the dryer. My sheets would get twisted into huge knots as a result. I got the new filter and inserted it only to discover that it sits up higher than the original filter. I thought perhaps it was the wrong part but LG confirmed it was correct. Given how much it cost to get it I was disappointed to learn that they dont offer a free return if there is an issue with the item.
I found a hack to fix the problem with my existing filter which is to push the right side of the filter down so it sits as flush as possible. Because the dryer only spins one direction it doesnt matter if the left hand side sticks up higher.
