Cheap Silverware basket

Purchased this dishwasher 2.5 years ago. I love the dishwasher. Its quiet cleans my dishes really well and have had no complains except I recently noticed that the silverware rack base has several holes so when you pull out the bottom rack it gets stuck because the silverware falls through the holes. Never had this happen to me before in the many dishwashers Ive had in the past. LG should fix this problem and make the base of the basket a bit stronger so it doesnt fall apart after such a short time. It would be nice if they replace these racks for free.
